Cali Tort Acropora
Cali Tort Acropora doesn’t believe in wasting time growing sideways when there’s perfectly good space above it. Long branches reach toward the surface with hues of blue, purple, and green, and a mature colony can put some serious height on a reef.
We recommend mounting Cali Tort lower in the tank and leaving plenty of open space above it. Not because it needs to be down there—it just has plans for the upstairs.

Provide Moderate to High variable flow that keeps detritus from settling on the Acropora. Avoid constant direct current from the same direction in favor of random chaotic water movement.
Placement — Mid to Upper level
Placement of your Cali Tort Acropora is one of the most important decisions.
This is where you’ll have to take lighting, flow, future growth and nearby corals into consideration.
Since it prefers 200 - 350 PAR range it will need to be mounted Mid to Upper level on your rock work depending on your light intensity.
Allow room for its Bushy growth form, and consider neighboring coral colors and shape. When possible, use contrasting corals such as red next to green, blue next to orange, or yellow next to purple, and mix growth forms such as tall branching corals next to plating or encrusting corals.
