BKCHEM Grinch Torch is about as close as this hobby gets to the holy grail of Holy Grails. We bought our original directly from BKCHEM in 2021 for over $2,000, back when a single head could make you question every financial decision that led you there.
Its extremely long tentacles are radioactive green with a bright yellow stripe running through them, finished with blue tips. It’s a color combination that sounds almost made up until you see one in person.
Prices may have cooled off since 2021, but the Grinch still looks every bit as ridiculous as it did when people were paying four figures for a head.

Flow — Moderate to High
Provide Moderate to High variable flow that keeps detritus from settling on the Torch. Avoid constant direct current from the same direction in favor of random chaotic water movement.
Placement — Mid level
Placement of your Bkchem Grinch Torch is one of the most important decisions.
This is where you’ll have to take lighting, flow, future growth and nearby corals into consideration.
Since it prefers 150 - 250 PAR range it will need to be mounted Mid level on your rock work depending on your light intensity.
Allow room for its Branching growth form, and consider neighboring coral colors and shape. When possible, use contrasting corals such as red next to green, blue next to orange, or yellow next to purple, and mix growth forms such as tall branching corals next to plating or encrusting corals.
