The CC Magic Carpet Mushroom is the most beautiful of all mushroom corals in my opinion. It’s that contrast of yellow green orange and purple coupled with the X-Large size they can get. It’s not uncommon for them to grow 4” across. Not only are they beautiful but they are hardy. I probrably had them for 8 years producing 100’s and never had one die. Can’t say that about to many corals. Also the lighting doesn’t seem to matter. I have had them in all lighting intensities and they always look the same.

Flow — Low to Moderate
Provide Low to Moderate variable flow that keeps detritus from settling on the Mushroom. Avoid constant direct current from the same direction in favor of random chaotic water movement.
Placement — Lower level
Placement of your CC Magic Carpet Mushroom is one of the most important decisions.
This is where you’ll have to take lighting, flow, future growth and nearby corals into consideration.
Since it prefers 50 - 125 PAR range it will need to be mounted Lower level on your rock work depending on your light intensity.
Allow room for its Solitary growth form, and consider neighboring coral colors and shape. When possible, use contrasting corals such as red next to green, blue next to orange, or yellow next to purple, and mix growth forms such as tall branching corals next to plating or encrusting corals.
