Green & Purple Duncan (5 heads!)

This is quite possibly the easiest to care for LPS coral. It isn’t to picky with light. Low to Moderate will do just fine. It can even adapt to high light with a slow acclimation over a few weeks. Although direct feeding is not required it can be satisfying to watch the large polyps take small bits of food such as fish flakes or frozen mysis from the water. These are 100% aquacultured. I purchased a single head in 2010 from a local greenhouse called the coral ranch. That single head has propagated many 100’s of Duncan’s colonies like this over that time.

Green and purple duncans

I love these. Added the movement I needed and wanted in a section of my tank.

Green & Purple Duncans

I love these Duncans. They really liven up my tank with motion. The Atomic Blue/Green Sympodium are really growing too.

Green & Purple Duncan

The piece I got had 7 or 8 heads. Clean and nothing came off during dipping/inspection. Fully extended within minutes of adding to tank

Thriving

So glad to come across Lazy's and my first order of duncans, a torch and a hammer are thriving: growing new heads, fully extended and plump polyps. My second order was just as great with fine looking specimens, better than the nice photos.
