Lazys Hybrid Blue Zing Birdsnest - (one of a kind)
Lazy’s Blue Zing wasn’t discovered on some distant reef—it was born right here in our tank. During a spawning event, an ORA Green Birdsnest and ORA Bird of Paradise decided to mix things up, creating a completely new hybrid with blue and turquoise colors. Reef Builders later called it the first confirmed cross between two aquarium strains of SPS coral.
Blue Zing carries traits from both parents but ended up with a look all its own. We recommend growing all three together. Green Birdsnest, Bird of Paradise and Blue Zing can touch without stinging each other, creating a great contrast as the colonies grow together.

Flow — Moderate to High
Provide Moderate to High variable flow that keeps detritus from settling on the Birdsnest. Avoid constant direct current from the same direction in favor of random chaotic water movement.
Placement — Mid to Upper level
Placement of your Lazys Hybrid Blue Zing Birdsnest is one of the most important decisions.
This is where you’ll have to take lighting, flow, future growth and nearby corals into consideration.
Since it prefers 125 - 200 PAR range it will need to be mounted Mid to Upper level on your rock work depending on your light intensity.
Allow room for its Bushy growth form, and consider neighboring coral colors and shape. When possible, use contrasting corals such as red next to green, blue next to orange, or yellow next to purple, and mix growth forms such as tall branching corals next to plating or encrusting corals.
