LCH Green Kenya Tree Coral is a Lazy’s Coral House exclusive and one of the rarest corals we grow—or at least it was a few years ago. We’ve distributed quite a few since then, and thankfully it’s become much more popular.

Kenya Trees are normally the coral we recommend to beginners who want something that doesn’t require a degree in marine biology to keep alive. This one has that same easy-going nature but with an iridescent turquoise-green coloration that’s incredibly hard to find.

It grows like a tiny tree, with a strong trunk and delicate branches covered in small flower-like ends that gently move in the current. Rare enough for experienced reef keepers to appreciate, but easy enough that we’d still hand it to a beginner.

Provide Low to Moderate variable flow that keeps detritus from settling on the Capnella. Avoid constant direct current from the same direction in favor of random chaotic water movement.

Placement — Lower to Mid level

Placement of your LCH Green Kenya Tree Coral is one of the most important decisions.
This is where you’ll have to take lighting, flow, future growth and nearby corals into consideration.
Since it prefers 100 - 200 PAR range it will need to be mounted Lower to Mid level on your rock work depending on your light intensity.
Allow room for its Solitary growth form, and consider neighboring coral colors and shape. When possible, use contrasting corals such as red next to green, blue next to orange, or yellow next to purple, and mix growth forms such as tall branching corals next to plating or encrusting corals.
