RR The Vinh is the Acropora we’d introduce to someone who wants to get into acros without immediately questioning all of their life choices. It’s hardy, colorful, forgiving, and doesn’t demand a perfectly dialed-in reef to look good.

One of the more interesting things about The Vinh is how much its appearance can change with nutrients. In lower-nitrate systems, the skin can become nearly white with bright contrasting purple polyps. Give it higher nitrate and that same skin can shift toward turquoise, with polyps ranging from purple into blue. It also handles a wide range of lighting, making it much less particular than many other acropora.

Provide Moderate to High variable flow that keeps detritus from settling on the Acropora. Avoid constant direct current from the same direction in favor of random chaotic water movement.

Placement — Mid to Upper level

Placement of your RR The Vinh Acropora is one of the most important decisions.
This is where you’ll have to take lighting, flow, future growth and nearby corals into consideration.
Since it prefers 200 - 350 PAR range it will need to be mounted Mid to Upper level on your rock work depending on your light intensity.
Allow room for its Bushy growth form, and consider neighboring coral colors and shape. When possible, use contrasting corals such as red next to green, blue next to orange, or yellow next to purple, and mix growth forms such as tall branching corals next to plating or encrusting corals.
